Social Worker/Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Morningstar Outreach Program
Morningstar Outreach Program provides culturally appropriate behavioral health services including outpatient substance use disorder counseling, recovery support services, crisis intervention, individual counseling, family counseling, case management, recovery circles and support groups, prevention programming, and community outreach. We are seeking well qualified individuals to join our team.
Applicants shall have a MINIMUM of a bachelor’s degree and a valid Missouri substance abuse certification/licensure (MAADCI/CADC). Experience may be substituted for a professional degree.
The applicant shall be knowledgeable and sensitive to the diversity of Native American culture as well as have a well-rounded knowledge of alcoholism/substance abuse and 12-step programs. Applicant must have the ability to interact successfully with employees, volunteers, and clients in an urban Indian community.
Applicant must affirm in writing that his/her employment performance has not been impaired by alcoholism/substance abuse over the past 3 years.
Compensation depends on experience and in accordance with the Board of Directors approved annual operating budget.
This is a full-time position. Normal work hours will vary based on community need and some evening hours will be required.
