Position Description: Emergency Assistance/Food Pantry Coordinator

The Emergency Assistance/Food Pantry Coordinator is responsible for all functions related to the Emergency Assistance/Food Pantry Program, including intake, assessment, case management, referrals, emergency food and utility assistance, food acquisition, storage, and distribution. There may be other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 4:30, and some evenings may be required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma required; College degree preferred
Experience: Experience working in the American Indian community with families in crisis or in need of emergency services is desirable.
Skills/Competencies: Strong organization, communication and people skills are required; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is required; data collection and entry for client qualification, evaluation and reporting purposes required; candidate must represent KCIC with professionalism when interacting with clients, volunteers, community members and staff.

Food Handler Safety Certification*
USDA/Harvesters Training*
Mid America Assistance Coalition (MAAC) User Training*

Position Description: Environmental Services Technician

This position has the primary responsibility for cleaning the center in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection of COVID-19 and other infectious pathogens. It is the role of the Environmental Services Technician to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, in accordance with KCIC schedules and within the most current CDC and OSHA guidelines.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect high touch (door handles, light switches, tabletops, countertops, etc.,) and common areas multiple times daily
• Cleaning building floors by sweeping , mopping or vacuuming
• Gathering and emptying trash and recycling
• Clean, disinfect, and stock restrooms
• Clean and disinfect pantry refrigerators/freezers
• Clean windows, mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaner
• Dust furniture, walls, pictures book cases
• Request any supplies, equipment, and PPE needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Other tasks as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to utilize cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment, including latex or non-latex gloves as needed.

This is a part-time position: Mondays and Friday, 8:30 to 4:30, and Tuesday through Thursday, 12:30 – 4:30, for a total of 27 hours per week at a rate of $15 an hour.
